Matt has over 24 years of industry experience with an extensive background in reinsurance accounting, claims, contracts, compliance and general operations. Prior to founding Fathom Re, Matt was the Head of Risk and Compliance for Juniper Re and BMS Re, tasked with ensuring regulatory compliance and working with all departments to ensure respective best practices were followed to minimize and manage risk exposures. Throughout his career, Matt has held leadership positions with multiple successful startup reinsurance intermediaries that were eventually acquired, which include Axiom Intermediaries LLC (acquired by Brown & Brown), Advocate Reinsurance Partners LLC (acquired by BMS Intermediaries Inc), and Trean Intermediaries LLC (acquired by BMS Intermediaries Inc).

Matt graduated from Elon University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Business Administration degree.
